Smoke Alarm Installation
Don’t Risk It!!!
There are strict regulations around smoke alarm installations throughout Queensland. Queensland has experienced tragedies throughout the years due to non-compliant switchboards and poor electrical wiring. Now we are making a change to save Homes and Lives.
Changes to Queensland’s smoke alarm legislations have been in effect since January 1st 2022 for all rental properties. We are now approaching the second phase of the legislative roll out where ALL properties will be required to have a compliant and certified smoke alarm installation by January 1st 2027. This new legislation specifies all home owners need to ensure their smoke alarms are compliant with the specifications. The smoke alarms must be interconnected, photo-electric and installed in each bedroom, all joining hallways and on every floor.
