Changes to Queensland’s smoke alarm legislation are now in affect. From January 1st 2022 new smoke alarm legislation will make Queensland households the safest in Australia in relation to fire safety.
The new legislation specifies that If you are planning to lease, sell or buy a home from this day forward, make sure the smoke alarms comply with the new legislation. The smoke alarms must be interconnected and installed in each bedroom, all joining hallways and on every floor.
